Teresa M. Meyer is a Certified Public Accountant working with small and medium sized business clients, their owners, and accounting staff. She began her professional career in 1977 after graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  Teresa worked in the international accounting department of an oil and gas pipeline company in Houston, TX for several years.  While in Houston, Teresa traveled overseas with representatives of the Company’s internal audit and tax departments to meet with representatives of the company’s joint venture partners and external CPAs to ensure compliance with joint venture agreements, governmental reporting requirements, etc.  After moving to Baton Rouge, Teresa continued her career working in the savings and loan industry with real estate owned and operated by the financial institutions including multifamily apartment complexes and leased office buildings.  In the early 1990’s Teresa began working in public accounting, providing accounting consulting and tax services to small and medium sized business.  While in public accounting, Teresa has assisted in setting up accounting software, taught classes to small businesses on the use of accounting software such as QuickBooks, provided one-on-one training and assistance to client’s accounting staff, prepared tax returns (all types), assisted clients with budgeting, projections, tax planning, etc.  Teresa has been employed by TWRU since 2007.

Teresa is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and the State Board of Certified Public Accounts of Louisiana. In past years, Teresa has volunteered her time with several charitable organizations including Most Blessed Sacrament Church and School, Bishop Sullivan and Catholic High Schools, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Junior Achievement, and United Way.
